TiLT - Things i Love Thursday!!

In the grand online tradition started a few years ago by the innovative blogger and international play girl Gala Darling at www.galadarling.com, I am bringing TiLT to my blog!!

What is TiLT?

TiLT is a list of things you are loving this week as a thank you to the universe - think of it as a warm fuzzy - a way to appreciate all that is going on in your life at this current moment.

So many of us focus on the negative side of life and the fact things are not going our way that we forget that it is much better to focus on the awesome things going on no matter how little (think strawberry jam on toast) or how large (got the job/promotion/payrise you were after) they are!

Here is a inconclusive list of things I am LOVING this week and feel free to leave a comment detailing yours. Sharing is caring after all!

<3 Slovakian accents and the way a certain man rolls the rrr's in my name every time he says it!
<3 Shoes - have a gorgeous pair of rocking heels on layby...check out 'Studworks' at www.betts.com.au
<3 New opportunities that appear instantaneously
<3 The Law of Attraction and the power it can create in your life
<3 Subway cookies YUMM!
<3 Spending time dreaming up scenes from my novel
<3 My green typewriter
<3 My freshly purchased tickets to Wil Anderson Wilosophy and the discovery of www.wilanderson.com.au

"It took us so long to realise that a purpose of human life,
no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved"
Kurt Vonnegut

Something better...

"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did, and when God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Always remember that the will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."

This quote was written as the signature at the bottom of a chain email I was sent. I usually dismiss these immediately as spam and they end up somewhere in the virtual trashcan land but for some reason I read this particular one through to the end. Although I ignored the email itself for the most part, I was drawn to this quote in tiny, grey, size 7 font at the bottom.

When things change in a way you think is unfair, perhaps it is only the universe letting you know that something better is coming.

Stay positive in times of trial.

Everything is always going to be okay. And that’s a truth if I ever knew one.

Manifest your dream reality

It has always been a belief of mine that we can manifest our reality with our imagination. If we always dream of something bigger or better than what we currently have the universe will always give us the opportunity to have these bigger and better things.

All you have to do is want something bad enough.

And I mean really, really want it.

The universe will always know if you are faking, or whether you don’t really believe in yourself or your capabilities. If you don’t really believe you could ever earn a million dollars there is no point in wanting it is there? Why would you waste your time wanting something you don’t really think you will ever be good enough?

This is where you need to change your thought patterns. You have to start to believe you can be a best selling author, that you are worth a six figure salary, that you will one day actually live in your dream home or meet that perfect someone. To start to believe things like this all you need to do is start telling yourself these things over and over. Repeat the affirmation over to yourself every day as you glance in the mirror on the way out the door.
I am worthy.
I am powerful.
I am not afraid of change.
I am worth more than I settle for.
The more frequently you repeat your affirmations, the easier it will be for you to start to believe in yourself and your ability to manifest your reality with your imagination.

Once you truly believe you are capable of something opportunities will pop up all over the place and all you have to do then is take advantage of them…I mean you already would have done the legwork so there is no point in sabotaging yourself at this stage.

Some people may tell you that this is just life, the way it’s meant to be. Some people may also think you are ungrateful to always be aiming for something bigger. But you are never going to reach the top while you’re dreaming of the bottom rung of the ladder. The ladder is infinite…just like your imagination. Start believing in your wildest dreams and the universe will do the rest!

Get ready to do something daring

How long have you had a crazy idea in your head and haven’t done anything about it?

How long have you wanted to go skydiving, paintball, overseas for a year, quit your job to do something you love, write a novel in your spare time?

Many of us think up these crazy ideas, but not a lot of us follow them through. There is always an excuse, or two or three. You have no money, or no time or aren’t ready or are too scared. Can you see the recurring theme in these excuses – they are all negative!!

If you want to do anything crazy or anything daring or take a risk in your life at all you first have to rid yourself of these negative excuses. They have only one purpose and that is to prevent you from ever achieving that crazy dream you secretly really wish to achieve. So get rid of them. Turn negatives into positives. Save up your money a dollar at a time. Take time off work. Stop worrying if you are ready or not because you don’t always know better.

I have for a really long time wanted to start writing my own blog. Exactly like the one you are reading now. However, instead of DOING it, I simply made the decision to do it without any actual follow through. It has taken me a while to build up to where I am at now but hey I have finally started as you can see. I took the plunge and here is the end result.

So what crazy, daring idea is in your head that you have spent too long doing nothing about??

Do something this instant to put that idea into motion and sooner then you know you will be looking back and thinking "thank god I finally did that!"

Life is short so get out there and get ready to do something daring!!
